Guy Fieri Inks Chicken Guy! Michigan Deal with Tomeys

Food Network star and restaurateur Guy Fieri is bringing his brand of fried chicken to Michigan, and Tomey Group is helping him do that.

“With franchising, it’s all about being in the company of great people,” Fieri said. “I met (Tomey brothers Anthony and Michael) about eight or nine years ago at a Jimmy John’s conference in Las Vegas. I know their reputation. They run a family-oriented business. That’s what the foundation of Chicken Guy! is all about. We feel like a draft pick. We’re a new chicken concept to the market. Having (Tomey Group) pick us out of all the offerings in front of them means a lot.”

Tomey Group is no stranger to the restaurant business. The group runs 45 Jimmy John’s franchises in the state. It also owns 8 Mile Vodka and the Born in Detroit apparel line.
