Breaking Barriers Learning to Grow

The Breaking Barriers Academy has been building a rock garden and a garden with fresh fruits and vegetables over the course of the summer to learn more about gardening.

A farmers market with the produce was led by Breaking Barriers Academy students in the Wild Bill’s Cantina on Main Street inside the Foundation. The market aimed to teach the students how to handle goods, manage money, and understand fundamental retail and financial skills.

The students also had the opportunity to design their own rocks to incorporate into a rock garden that will reside in the employee parking lot of the Chaldean Community Foundation.
