Rovetta Mattia Appointed to the Michigan Board of Optometry
Dr. Rovetta Mattia was appointed to represent optometrists for a term commencing June 6, 2024, and expiring June 30, 2026. Dr. Rovetta Mattia succeeds Teresa Seim whose term has expired.
Dr. Rovetta Mattia, of Novi, is a licensed optometrist with Henry Ford OptimEyes. She holds a Bachelor of Science in bioengineering from the University of California at San Diego, and a Doctor of Optometry from the University of California Berkeley.
Dr. Mattia is a first-generation Chaldean-American who was born in Southfield, Michigan. Her family later moved to California. She completed clinical rotations in surgical and pediatric centers in San Francisco, Phoenix, and San Diego.
After graduating, she returned to Michigan and began working for Henry Ford OptimEyes. She enjoys taking care of patients of all ages, especially children. She has fluency in Modern Aramaic (Chaldean) and some Arabic. She and her husband enjoy cooking, traveling, and raising their four boys.
