Dr. Sabah Abro named Chair at Lawrence Technological University

Dr. Sabah Abro

A search committee established to hire a chairperson for the department of Engineering Technology in the College of Engineering at Lawrence Technological University has concluded the search. After going through over a dozen applicants from all over the United States, Dr. Sabah Abro was offered and accepted the position.

Dr. Abro has five degrees and certifications from five different countries: a bachelor’s degree from Baghdad University; a master’s degree from the United Nations Institute in Kuwait; a master’s from University of Wales in the UK; and a Ph.D. from The Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium. He also has a Master Black Belt certification in Six Sigma Engineering Quality from the US.

Dr. Abro has taught in positions at several universities in the Middle East and the United States. He has been working full time at LTU since 2000.
